Summary: Cate Cormack is marketing and business development specialist. Her twenty-five years of hands-on marketing experience started in fashion industry in New York. She was headhunted to Sydney and later took up residency in Australia employed as the brand manager for the Maggie T designer label. Her next appointed position was as the general manager of TCG Export Pty. Ltd., a global marketing consultant firm, establishing Australian businesses in international markets. In her own consultancy by the early 1990s, Cate was exporting cities, having assisted the City of Melbourne to position itself as a contender for the 1996 Summer Olympics of which Atlanta succeeded.
By the mid-90s Cate was showing clients how to “stage customer experiences” as an alternative to outdated service delivery models in commoditised marketplaces. She became a pioneer in the “live” marketing industries of retail, tourism, hospitality, exhibitions, conferences and events with her provocative seminars and keynote addresses. Since 1995, the “Expert Exhibitor” tradeshow marketing seminars have supported thousands of businesses to get a return on their tradeshow investments. Clients now gain these and other crucial advisory, creative marketing management, and consulting roles that Cate has performed which are of significant scope internationally, nationally and locally.
